I just wanted to know if I'm on the right path on life right now

If you had said

Then I would say yes

It's no more complicated than that

So if you want some sort of a litmus test, as you say

All you have to do is ask yourself the question

Am I acting on my highest excitement every moment that I possibly can

To discover more of who you are from a different point of view.

So even when you discover things on your path that you don't prefer 

所以，即使你在人生道路上找到你所不喜好的事物

Discovering them is part of your path. 

找到它們，也屬於你人生的一部分

You can't really be off yourself
